About the course
In 2019, former Boeing engineer Rick Ludtke testified about a drastic change he witnessed: quality assurance staff being systematically reduced while factory workers were pressured to use defective parts. In this ten-minute nano learning course, we'll examine how Boeing's post-merger shift from an engineering-focused culture to a profit-driven mindset led to catastrophic compromises in safety standards. Through this real-world case study, you'll learn how organizational pressure to prioritize speed and cost-cutting over quality can erode critical safety controls, leading to system-wide failures in quality assurance. At the end of this course, you'll be able to: 1. Explain the reasons why the quality of Boeing’s safety standards has deteriorated.
